Background
The Judicial Service Commission is established under Article 171 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 with a mandate of promoting and facilitating the independence and accountability of the Judiciary, and the efficient, effective and transparent Administration of Justice. The Commission invites suitable candidates for the Internship Programme in the Judiciary. This programme offers young people the opportunity to consolidate and translate the skills learnt from their training to a meaningful, relevant and practical situation on the job experience. The Interns will be deployed in the Judiciary in the areas of; Office Administration, Information Communication & Technology, Supply Chain Management, Information Science and Records Management, Structural/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architectural, Construction and Project Management.
Job Purpose
Internship Programme
Reporting Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible to a designated supervisor/ mentor.
Area of Deployment
Court Station, Tribunal, Directorate or Department within Kenya.
Eligibility
- The Internship Programme is open to young unemployed Kenyan Diploma graduates of between 18 and 35 years old from a recognized training institution who have not been exposed to work experience related to the area of study within the last two years.
- The applicant should NOT have undertaken any other internship program in the Government and must be willing and ready to be deployed in any Court Station within the Republic of Kenya.
- Meet Requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Diploma in Management and Office Administration
- Be proficient in Computer Application.
