Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities entail: -

  • Preparing responses to simple routine correspondences;
  • Maintaining office diary and protocol;
  • Handling telephone calls and appointments;
  • Ensuring security of office records, documents and equipment;
  • Attending to visitors / clients;
  • Assisting in planning and organizing meetings, conferences, and seminars
  • Supervision of office cleanliness and
  • Undertaking any other duties that may be assigned.

Job Specification

Requirement for appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following area Secretarial Studies, bachelor of Business and Office management,
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences plus a diploma in Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
