Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Project Management

  • Oversee the installation of steel and civil structures, ensuring adherence to engineering and safety standards.
  • Plan and coordinate installation schedules, resources, and timelines to ensure timely completion.
  • Supervise installation teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure efficiency and quality workmanship.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges related to installation and project execution.

Licensing & Regulatory Compliance

  • Manage the licensing process for structures with county governments and relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of licensing requirements across different counties in Kenya.
  • Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and approvals.

Site Selection & Coordination with Sales Teams

  • Work closely with the sales and business development teams to identify and evaluate suitable site locations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed sites for installations.
  • Ensure all site locations comply with legal and operational requirements before installations begin.
  • Coordinate site acquisition processes, including negotiations with property owners and local authorities.

Operational Facilitation & Logistics Management

  • Ensure seamless coordination between engineering, installation, and logistics teams for timely project execution.
  • Oversee procurement and allocation of materials, equipment, and workforce for installations.
  • Optimize operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Address and resolve logistical or operational challenges in real-time.

Risk Management & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all installations adhere to workplace safety and structural integrity standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for potential site challenges.
  • Monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance in all operational activities.

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, licensing status, and operational performance.
  • Engage with county officials, regulators, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Keep senior management updated on critical developments in installations, licensing, and site acquisitions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in operations management, licensing, or infrastructure installation.
  • Strong understanding of county licensing processes and regulations in Kenya.
  • Experience managing installation projects, logistics, and regional operations.
  • Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and operational software.
