Responsibilities or duties

The Orthopaedic Trauma Technician shall be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for the following;

  • Offering Plaster Services depending on the level of care deployed;
  • Guiding and counseling patients, clients and family members on Orthopaedic related health issues in consultation with the Specialists
  • Referring patients and clients appropriately in consultation with other team members
  • Coaching and mentoring students on attachment;
  • Collecting and compiling data for research on plaster services issues;
  • Ordering and monitoring usage of Orthopaedic commodities
  • Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen;
  • Be a holder of a Certificate in Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine from a recognized institution;
  • Must be computer literate
