Job Purpose:
To deliver high-quality instruction in Kiswahili, Social Studies (SST), and Christian Religious Education (CRE) to Upper Primary learners, fostering academic excellence, critical thinking, moral values, and holistic development in line with the school's curriculum and educational objectives
Job description
- Prepare and deliver effective lesson plans for Kiswahili, Social Studies and CRE in accordance with the CBC.
- Assess, record, and report on learners’ progress and performance.
- Develop teaching and learning materials to enhance lesson delivery.
- Maintain proper classroom management and discipline.
- Identify learners’ individual needs and provide appropriate support.
- Participate in co-curricular activities and school programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date academic records.
- Engage with parents/guardians on learners’ progress where necessary.
- Adhere to school policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Requirements
- P1 Certificate from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Proven experience teaching Kiswahili, Social Studies and CRE at primary level.
- Sound knowledge of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
- Proficient in the use of ICT and digital learning tools in teaching and learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
