Responsibilities or duties

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal – Wage & Hour Class Action to support a high-volume Employment Litigation practice. This position provides critical litigation support to attorneys and legal teams handling complex Wage & Hour and Employment Law matters.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. Prior experience in Employment Law and Wage & Hour Class Action litigation is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare correspondence, pleadings, motions, letters, and discovery documents.
  • Draft, review, proofread, and edit legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support litigation matters.
  • Maintain and organize case files within case management and document management systems.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Manage case calendars, legal deadlines, and litigation timelines.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients regarding case-related matters.
  • Track and manage multiple active cases simultaneously.
  • Support attorneys and legal teams with administrative and litigation-related tasks.
  • Ensure all filings, documents, and case records are maintained accurately and timely.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Must be currently pursuing or have completed studies in Law, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or a related legal field.

Experience needed

Experience

  • Minimum of 1.5 years of Paralegal experience (Preferably for the USA)
  • Previous experience working within a law firm is mandatory.
  • Experience supporting Labor & Employment and Wage & Hour matters is strongly preferred.
  • Experience preparing and responding to discovery requests.
  • Experience managing court calendars, hearings, deadlines, and litigation workflows.
  • Experience supporting mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
  • Experience with state and federal court e-filing processes.
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based legal practices is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is required.
  • Excellent legal drafting, proofreading, and document review skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a high-volume environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
  • Experience conducting legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar research platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
  • Experience using Litify or similar legal case management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Employment Law and Wage & Hour Class Action experience.
  • Experience supporting U.S. litigation matters.
  • Experience using Litify and Salesforce.
  • Exposure to class action litigation and complex case management.
