Location: Kenya

Working Hours: Australian Working Hours

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in migration law, enjoys ownership, and is eager to combine legal expertise with technology and process innovation to drive real impact.

Responsibilities

  • Case Preparation & Lodgement: Prepare, review, and lodge visa applications across multiple categories with precision and strong attention to detail.
  • Client Management & Communication: Own day-to-day client relationships. Guide clients through the process, collect required documentation, and provide clear, timely updates.
  • Legal Drafting & Research: Draft high-quality legal documents, submissions, and correspondence. Stay up to date with Australian migration law and policy changes.
  • Compliance & Case Management: Track deadlines, monitor compliance requirements, and maintain accurate case records within legal systems.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation: Identify inefficiencies in workflows and recommend scalable solutions to improve operational efficiency and client outcomes.
  • Technology & Automation: Leverage case management systems and AI tools to streamline administrative and legal processes, improving speed, accuracy, and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Migration Law Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, preferably within Australian migration law.
  • High-Level Communication: Ability to translate complex legal processes into clear, actionable guidance and manage client relationships effectively.
  • Technical Rigor: Comfortable using case management systems (e.g., Migration Manager), Microsoft Office, and familiar with emerging AI tools.
  • Systems Mindset: Proactive, process-oriented, and able to identify and improve workflows and internal systems.
  • Growth Mindset: Curious about technology, automation, and continuous improvement within legal operations.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail across multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Autonomy: Thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with minimal supervision.
