About the Role

The Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Pastry Chef Lecturer/Instructor to join their team. This role is crucial in training and developing aspiring chefs in the art and science of pastry making.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing and delivering comprehensive pastry arts curriculum.
• Conducting practical training sessions and demonstrations.
• Assessing student performance and providing constructive feedback.
• Maintaining a safe and hygienic learning environment.
• Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in pastry arts.
• Mentoring and guiding students throughout their learning journey.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should possess:

• A professional qualification in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a reputable establishment.
• Previous experience in teaching or training is highly desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience as a Pastry Chef is required. Teaching experience will be an added advantage.
