Job Summary

The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, cakes, breads, and baked products while maintaining high standards of quality, creativity, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Pastry Production

• Prepare pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and other baked products.
• Ensure consistency in product quality and presentation.
• Develop new pastry items and seasonal specialties.
• Decorate baked products according to established standards.

Kitchen Operations

• Maintain cleanliness of the pastry section.
• Monitor pastry ingredient inventory.
• Minimize wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

Food Safety & Compliance

• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of bakery products.
• Operate bakery equipment safely.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Pastry Arts, Bakery, Culinary Arts, or Food Production.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in pastry production.
