Tranquil Med Centre is a private level four mental institution situated along Lang’ata North Road, Gituro Lane, Gate 10 in Nairobi, Kenya. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures patient safety
  • Maintains a clean and safe clinical environment
  • To be involved in helping nurses in their day-to-day patient management
  • To provide support services to the nursing departments
  • To transport patients in the facility
  • To transport equipment and supplies between different departments of the Hospital.
  • Clean and bathe patients.
  • Help patients use the toilet and dress.
  • Turn, reposition, and transfer patients between beds and wheelchairs.
  • Listen to and record patients' health concerns and report that information to nurses.
  • Measure patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Confidentiality and integrity
  • Self Driven
  • Good Communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent team work skills

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Certificate in Patient Care Attendant
  • 2 years experience in the field, experience in a mental institution is an added advantage
