Background
Peach Cars KE is an e-commerce solution revolutionizing car ownership in sub-Saharan Africa. We started with an automotive marketplace, leveraging technology and robust offline operations to reduce pain points in the market for locally-used vehicles, delivering quality, convenience, and value to our customers.
Responsibilities
Specifically, the People & Culture intern at Peach Cars will be trained to undertake the following listed tasks:
- Accurately capture, update, and maintain employee information in HR systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Manage employee documentation end-to-end, including drafting, formatting, issuing, and filing contracts and offer letters.
- Draft and send relevant internal communications (e.g., announcements, onboarding emails, policy updates) as guided by the P&C team
- Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and physical employee records, ensuring compliance and confidentiality.
- Participate in employee check-ins where applicable, including note-taking and follow-up on action points.
- Assist in onboarding processes, including preparing documentation and overall needed coordination.
- Support P&C operations across the employee lifecycle, including scheduling meetings, coordinating logistics, and communicating effectively with both candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in planning and coordinating employee engagement, wellbeing, learning, and culture initiatives, including maintaining activity calendars and supporting event logistics.
- Support management of employee merchandise, including tracking inventory, coordinating distribution to new hires and staff, and supporting branding or engagement initiatives tied to company merchandise.
- Provide general administrative support to the People & Culture team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of P&C processes is an added advantage
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
