Position 3: Peri-Operative (Theatre Nurses)

REF NO: KMC/NURSET/5/2026

Station: Mbita Town

Description:

Work in theatre and endoscopy. Assist surgeon and anaesthetist during operations, implement sterilization and aseptic protocols, maintain sterile techniques, organize patient transport to recovery, assist with endoscopic procedures, control use of OT equipment, maintain operation register, fill theatre charge sheets for billing, initiate emergency resuscitative measures, and monitor patient physiological/psychological status.

Key Requirements:

Diploma in KRCHN, KRN, KRM, KRN/M or KRN/Mental Health, Registered with Nursing Council of Kenya, valid practicing license, 2 years' experience in a busy theatre, BLS/ACLS competency, Endoscopy training or Peri-operative Nursing training (added advantage), Certificate of Good Conduct.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: professional certificate
