We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Petrol Station Manager to oversee the operations of a petrol station. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth day-to-day running, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Responsibilities

The Petrol Station Manager will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

  • Managing daily retail operations of the station, including both wet stock (fuel) and dry stock (convenience store) sections.
  • Supervising, scheduling, and coordinating the activities of fuel pump attendants, cashiers, and security personnel.
  • Conducting daily reconciliations of fuel sales, dip readings, pump meter readings, and cash/digital payments.
  • Monitoring fuel inventory levels constantly and coordinating timely replenishment deliveries with suppliers.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) regulations on-site.
  • Managing the financial performance of the station, including cost control, banking, budgeting, and expense reporting.
  • Handling customer complaints, inquiries, and special requests promptly to ensure excellent service standards.
  • Coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure all pumps, tanks, and station equipment are fully operational.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales, inventory, and staff attendance for periodic management audits.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Business Administration, or a closely related academic field.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in petrol station operations, with proven experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • A deep understanding of wet stock management, fuel reconciliation processes, and loss control.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard health, safety, and environmental regulations (HSSE) for fuel stations.
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • High proficiency in math, financial reporting, and Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel).
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, nights, and public holidays as required by station operations.
