Lecturer role at Kisii University. Responsible for teaching and assessing students, developing course materials, conducting research, supervising students, and supporting academic programmes. Requires a relevant Master’s or PhD qualification, university teaching experience, and strong research and communication skills. The role is based in Kisii with duties performed on-site.

Qualifications or requirements 

To be eligible for appointment to the position of Lecturer, the candidate must have:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy and MSc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry or MSc. Analytical Chemistry
• Evidence of recognition and registration by the relevant regulatory body where applicable; and
• Evidence of membership or affiliation of the relevant professional body where applicable.

Experience needed

At least 3 years of relevant working experience;

• Teach and asses courses in one’s discipline at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
• Supervise undergraduate students’ projects and other experimental learning programmes;
• Supervise dissertations/theses at postgraduate level;
• Participate in the development/review of undergraduate and postgraduate courses;
• Initiate, promote and participate in research projects;
• Provide professional and community services, and initiate strategic training and research partnerships and linkages, and undertake fundraising for the university; and
• Carry out administrative and such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
