A hospital in Thika Town is seeking a qualified and dedicated **Pharmaceutical Technologist** to join its healthcare team. The ideal candidate should be registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board and committed to providing safe, efficient, and quality pharmaceutical services to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions and established guidelines.
  • Provide professional support and guidance to patients on medication use.
  • Maintain proper records of prescriptions, inventory, and pharmaceutical transactions.
  • Assist in managing pharmacy stock, including ordering, receiving, and monitoring supplies.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of medicines.
  • Support compliance with pharmacy regulations, healthcare standards, and safety procedures.
  • Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  • Monitor medication availability and assist in maintaining efficient pharmacy operations.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Must be **enrolled with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB)**.
  • Previous hospital or pharmacy experience is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical procedures and medication handling.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work professionally in a healthcare environment.
