AMPATH is a program under the auspices of Moi University School of Medicine, Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) and Consortium of North American Universities. It supports the Ministry of Health in ten (10) counties of Western Kenya, Nyanza and North Rift Region. Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the position of Pharmaceutical Technologist to be based at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) – AMPATH.

• Coordinate medicine supply at pharmacies and outreach specialty clinics.
• Supervise pharmacy sites to ensure accountability, compliance with standards and quality service delivery.
• Dispense medicines in accordance with professional guidelines and standards.
• Provide medication counselling and adherence support to patients.
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory in collaboration with county health facilities.
• Conduct pharmacovigilance activities, including reporting adverse drug reactions and suspected substandard or falsified medical products.
• Maintain accurate records, transparency, and accurate documentation of pharmacy operations.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor, or other duties as assigned.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proven skills in data management and record keeping.
• Highly reliable, adaptable and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work across counties in support of health facilities.

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
• Enrolled with the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
• At least two (2) years of relevant post-qualification and post-enrolment work experience.
• Supervisory experience will be an added advantage.
• Trained and proficient in computer applications and packages.
