ABOUT BUCKNER KENYA

Buckner Kenya is celebrating 25 years of great visionary work, resilience, and God’s faithfulness in Kenya. The NGO was established to transform the lives of vulnerable children and build strong families, and registered in Kenya in 2001.

Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Pharmaceutical Technologist is responsible for dispensing medication to clients, stock taking, managing information on drugs, and ensuring compliance.

• Managing the pharmacy inventory and accurate record keeping.
• Proper dispensing, packaging, labelling and storage of medication.
• Ensuring correct prescriptions and adherence to all relevant guidelines and procedures.
• Assisting in preparation of pharmaceutical compounds and sterile products.
• Patient counseling.
• Ensuring a clean well-organized pharmacy and liaising with the clinic team on drugs management.

• Good communication skills and customer care.
• Ability to comply with rules, regulations and procedures in the pharmacy unit.
• Computer literate

• Diploma in pharmaceutical technology from a recognized institution.
• Enrolled by Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
• Valid practicing license from Kenya Pharmacy and Poison’s Board.
• Current Certificate of good conduct.
