Job Description
The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient provision of pharmaceutical services at Machakos Doctors' Plaza. The role involves dispensing medicines, counselling patients, managing pharmacy stock, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) requirements and other applicable pharmaceutical standards.
Requirements
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
- Valid practicing licence.
- Relevant experience in a hospital or community pharmacy is an added advantage.
- Good communication, customer service and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work professionally and with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispensing and processing prescriptions.
- Patient counselling on appropriate medicine use.
- Pharmacy stock and inventory management.
- Maintaining accurate pharmacy records.
- Monitoring drug expiry dates and storage conditions.
- Ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical standards and regulations.
