Role Context

KHF is seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacist Intern to join our team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in the healthcare sector, specifically in pharmacy practice within a non-governmental organization setting.

Responsibilities

The Pharmacist Intern will be expected to:

  • Assist in the management of pharmacy inventory, including stocktaking and ordering.
  • Support in the dispensing of medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Provide basic pharmaceutical information to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Participate in drug use reviews and quality improvement activities.
  • Assist in data collection and reporting related to pharmacy services.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be a holder of a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a recognized university.
  • Must have completed or be undergoing internship training as required by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.

Experience

No prior work experience is required, as this is an internship position.

Additional Notes

This is a full-time internship position. A monthly stipend will be provided.
