JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To provide top-notch support in a dynamic retail pharmacy environment, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of prescriptions and products. The role is central to redefining customer care by expertly managing pharmaceutical and beauty supplement products, serving one patient at a time with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Dispensing and Pharmaceutical Care:
- Accurately interpret and dispense prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Provide patients with clear instructions on medication usage and potential side effects.
- Maintain impeccable patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Offer professional advice on over-the-counter (OTC) medications and healthcare products.
Inventory and Stock Management:
- Manage inventory for both pharmaceutical products and beauty supplements.
- Conduct regular stock takes and ensure proper rotation of stock (FIFO - First In, First Out).
- Monitor product expiry dates and coordinate the safe disposal of expired items.
- Assist in the ordering and receiving of pharmaceutical and beauty products.
Customer Service and Sales:
- Provide expert consultation to customers on beauty supplements, vitamins, and related products.
- Drive sales by demonstrating product knowledge and identifying customer needs.
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with customers.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and effectively.
Administrative Duties:
- Process sales transactions and manage cash register operations.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and professionally presented.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
- Experience: At least two (2) years of working experience as a Pharmacy Technologist.
- Product Knowledge: Must be conversant and experienced with both pharmaceutical products and beauty supplements.
- Registration: Must be registered with the relevant professional body (e.g., Pharmacy and Poisons Board) with a valid practicing license.
