About the Role

St. Mary’s School is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Physical Education (PE) Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive PE curriculum, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, and promoting the physical and holistic development of students.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
  • Plan and organize sports activities, inter-school competitions, and school events.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Promote a healthy lifestyle and sportsmanship among students.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during PE activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCSE, Diploma in Education) is essential.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in various sports and athletic disciplines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Knowledge of child protection policies and procedures.
