About the Role
St. Mary’s School is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Physical Education (PE) Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive PE curriculum, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, and promoting the physical and holistic development of students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
- Plan and organize sports activities, inter-school competitions, and school events.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote a healthy lifestyle and sportsmanship among students.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during PE activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCSE, Diploma in Education) is essential.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in various sports and athletic disciplines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Knowledge of child protection policies and procedures.
