Job Purpose
To ensure provision of quality physiotherapy services to helping patients affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise. manual therapy, education and advice.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations in line with approved clinical standards.
- Administer a full range of physiotherapy treatment techniques.
- Develop, implement, and review individualised treatment programmes using exercise, movement, and range of motion techniques. Monitor patient progress and report outcomes to referring physicians.
- Collaborate with ward staff, nurses, and doctors to ensure safe patient handling and holistic care.
- Educate patients, carers, families, and community agencies on treatment and home programmes.
- Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of equipment and facilities.
- Uphold high standards of care, compassion, professionalism, and legal accountability. Drive continuous improvement of physiotherapy services within the department.
- Stay current with emerging physiotherapy techniques and technologies.
Professional Qualifications
- Diploma in Physiotherapy Kenya Society of Physiotherapy
- At least 2 years experience in the relevant field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong team player with proven leadership abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Computer literate
- Skilled in patient handling and manual therapy techniques
- High level of integrity, honesty, and sincerity Committed to patient confidentiality and ethical practice
- Patient, empathetic, and compassionate in care delivery
