Background

Consolata Hospital Mathari is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of a Physiotherapist.

Job Purpose

To ensure provision of quality physiotherapy services to helping patients affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations in line with approved clinical standards.
  • Administer a full range of physiotherapy treatment techniques.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualised treatment programmes using exercise, movement, and range of motion techniques.
  • Monitor patient progress and report outcomes to referring physicians.
  • Collaborate with ward staff, nurses, and doctors to ensure safe patient handling and holistic care.
  • Educate patients, carers, families, and community agencies on treatment and home programmes.
  • Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of equipment and facilities.
  • Uphold high standards of care, compassion, professionalism, and legal accountability.
  • Drive continuous improvement of physiotherapy services within the department.
  • Stay current with emerging physiotherapy techniques and technologies.

Professional Qualifications

  • Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Kenya Society of Physiotherapy
  • At least 2 years experience in the relevant field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong team player with proven leadership abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Computer literate
  • Skilled in patient handling and manual therapy techniques
  • High level of integrity, honesty, and sincerity
  • Committed to patient confidentiality and ethical practice
  • Patient, empathetic, and compassionate in care delivery
