Responsibilities

Can you turn field survey data into fibre network designs that are practical, accurate and ready for implementation? We’re looking for a Planning Engineer to support fibre network planning and design across FTTx, FTTH, backbone and metro deployments, working closely with project and implementation teams. Your focus will be on:

  • Conducting physical surveys, assessing route conditions and identifying optimal fibre routes
  • Developing HLD and LLD designs for FTTx, FTTH, backbone and metro networks
  • Preparing BOMs, BOQs and as-built documentation
  • Producing network layouts, duct and pole plans, splice diagrams and other key design documentation
  • Assessing route feasibility, risks, wayleaves and infrastructure constraints

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geospatial/GIS Engineering or a related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in fibre optic planning and design
  • Hands-on experience with FTTx/FTTH and GPON
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS/survey tools such as Google Earth Pro, SW Maps or similar
  • Experience preparing BOMs, BOQs and as-built documentation
  • Valid driving licence is a must
  • Fibre optic/network design certification and experience with QGIS, ArcGIS or Global Mapper are added advantages
