Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the broadcast signal to ensure we always remain on air.
  • Assist in creating playlists and packaging shows in a timely manner.
  • Manage and verify content before it airs to ensure it is broadcast worthy.
  • Upload and catalogue in-house aired TV shows on YouTube and Vimeo, and ensure content is correctly backed up on the server.
  • Ensure there is always adequate power and fuel for generators.
  • Maintain broadcast equipment and troubleshoot technical issues, including during live broadcasts.
  • Schedule advertisements, logs, and mentions accurately as shared by the promotions team.
  • Submit daily reports on tasks handled and equipment status to the General Manager.
  • Report any work-related or technical issues promptly to the General Manager.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Previous experience with playout automation systems and broadcasting technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues under pressure and during live broadcasts.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle live broadcast challenges.
