JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Plumber is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, with a focus on wastewater facilities and submersible sewage or wastewater pump systems.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operating and maintaining wastewater facilities and related plumbing systems to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Performing inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on submersible sewage or wastewater pumps.
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining water, gas, and sewage systems in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Reading blueprints, layouts, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and repair of plumbing systems.
  • Identifying and addressing plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and pump malfunctions.
  • Documenting inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Coordinating with supervisors and other team members to achieve operational goals and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Adhering to established safety protocols and plumbing codes when carrying out assignments.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • At least three (3) years of work experience in the maintenance and repair of submersible sewage or wastewater pumps.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater facilities.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, wastewater operations, and applicable codes and safety standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
  • Passport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
  • Must successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Journeyman-level plumbing certification or equivalent training in plumbing and wastewater systems.
  • Prior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.
  • Valid country driver’s license and passport.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with plumbing tools, equipment, and techniques required for large-scale plumbing
