The role involves leading daily classroom activities, implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, supporting children's social and educational development, maintaining compliance with Illinois DCFS regulations, and building strong relationships with families and fellow educators.
The ideal candidate meets at least one of the three Illinois DCFS Lead Teacher qualification options~
- 60 semester hours of college credit from an accredited university, including 6 semester hours directly related to child care/development, OR
- 30 semester hours of college credit plus 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare center, including 6 semester hours in child care/development, OR
- A valid Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or a Gateways to Opportunity Level 3 or higher Credential.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: professional certificate
