Background

This role is within The National Council for Children’s Services.

Duties and responsibilities

Interpreting and implementing Human Resource management policies, strategies, regulations and guidelines;

Coordinating payroll administration, processing and Human Resource database management;

Implementing staff training and development programs;

Ensuring compliance with Human Resource management practices, policies, regulations and relevant government policies and guidelines on employee management and administration;

Undertaking annual surveys on employee satisfaction (ESS), Work Environment Satisfaction (WES) and Training Needs Assessment (TNA); and

Undertake any other functions as may be lawfully assigned.

Job Specification

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this Grade, an officer must have: –

At least nine (9) years’ relevant work experience and at least three (3) years as Senior Human Resource officer;

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;

Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management or any other relevant professional body;

Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution; and

computer Proficiency skills.
