Job Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -
- Cumulative period of nine (9) years’ relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at Senior Internal Auditor or in a comparable position;
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: - Finance, Accounting, Commerce (Finance/ Accounting option), Business Administration (Finance option/Accounting), Business Management (Finance/Accounting option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution;
- Certified Public Accountants (CPA-K) or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution;
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- CISA or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution where applicable;
- Member of Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya (IIA) or any other relevant professional body where applicable and in good standing;
- Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than Four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Successful candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of Leadership and Integrity set out in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and shall be required to present the following documents before the offer letter.
- Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (TCC);
- Certificate of clearance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
- Certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI);
- Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
- Clearance certificate from approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
