Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities entail: –
- Carrying out research and translate research findings to policy briefs to inform improvement of services;
- Initiating development of policies and codes of conduct to regulate good practice relating to child protection and child welfare;
- preparation and implementation of the Council’s performance contract;
- Participating in the preparation of Medium-Term Expenditure Frameworks, Medium Term Plans and other related assignments in the Annual Government Budgeting cycles;
- Coordinating policy advocacy initiatives of the Council;
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must: –
- At least nine (9) years’ work experience three (3) of which must be at the grade of Senior planning and strategy officer or in a comparable position;
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Strategic Management, Business Development, Development Studies, and Business Administration or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
- Membership to a relevant professional body;
- A Management Course lasting not less than Four (4) weeks from a recognized institution; and
- Proficiency in computer applications.

- Leadership skills
- Analytical skills;
- Ability to work with a team and lead team; and
- Organization and planning skills.
