Main tasks and responsibilities:

Resource Mobilization

  • Support in desk research and mapping of prospective corporate, foundation and philanthropic high-net worth individuals.
  • Support coordination and logistical arrangements for donor meetings and field visits, including preparation of briefing notes and presentations.

Knowledge Management

  • Develop and maintain a structured SharePoint filing system aligned with office standards.
  • Support the maintenance of CAP’s SharePoint site.
  • Organize CAP documents within the SharePoint filing system for efficiency. These documents include donor proposals, investment cases, briefing notes, donor databases, and the like.
  • Support media monitoring of UNICEF Kenya vis a vis other organizations in Kenya catering to children, and provide benchmarking reports for visibility in social and traditional media (weekly and monthly).
  • Assist in any knowledge management task that may be assigned from time-to-time.

Expected Deliverables

By the end of the assignment, the intern is expected to have:

  • Organized and updated CAP section SharePoint site.
  • Structured and up-to-date donor database and private sector prospect mapping database.

Eligibility & Minimum Requirements

  • Be a Kenyan citizen.
  • Have graduated within the past two years in Communications, Marketing, Business Information Communication Technology, or similar fields.
  • Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and have no other relatives in the line of authority that the intern will report to.
