Interpret Contract Law
Analyze case law and statutes with students to determine legal obligations, breach of contract, and available remedies in procurement scenarios.
Ensure Compliance with Bribery Acts
Instruct on the provisions of anti-corruption laws (e.g., UK Bribery Act, FCPA) and how they apply to international procurement activities.
Draft Ethical Procurement Policies
Guide students in drafting a comprehensive code of conduct for a procurement department, addressing conflicts of interest and gift policies.
Navigate Intellectual Property Rights
Teach students how to identify and protect IP in procurement contracts, including licensing agreements and proprietary information clauses.
Conduct Competitive Tenders Legally
Outline the legal framework for public procurement, ensuring students understand transparency, fairness, and non-discrimination in tendering.
Handle Dispute Resolution
Explore alternative dispute resolution mechanisms (arbitration, mediation) as legal and ethical means to settle procurement conflicts without litigation.
