Procurement Officer | School Administration
This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth, compliant, and cost-effective procurement of school supplies, equipment, and services. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support operational efficiency and accountability.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Planning and managing procurement activities in line with approved budgets
- Sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure value for money
- Preparing purchase requisitions, LPOs, and maintaining accurate procurement records
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procurement regulations
- Managing inventory and maintaining accurate stock records
- Coordinating with the finance team on supplier payments and reconciliations
Key Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a procurement or supply chain role (school or institutional setting preferred)
- Membership with CIPS or a recognized professional body (added advantage)
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Proficiency in computer applications and inventory management systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
