The Procurement Officer strategically drives supply chain efficiency and value creation by ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services, cultivating strong supplier relationships, and maintaining the agility required to respond to fast-moving consumer trends and dynamic market conditions. The role holder reports to the Senior Procurement Manager.

Experience needed:
Lead the end-to-end strategic management of sourcing and the complete supplier lifecycle. Drive operational procurement efficiency by ensuring the effective conversion of purchase requisitions and rigorous monitoring of delivery lead times. Ensure compliance and accuracy of supplier invoices, Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), and supporting documentation to facilitate seamless payment processing. Coordinate with Finance to maintain precise records of financial commitments and accruals. Act as a key cross-functional partner in supporting new product development, mitigating supply chain risk, and securing optimal raw material availability. Generate and present accurate, insightful reports covering spend analysis, realized savings, supplier performance, and contract utilization. Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing both cost efficiency and supplier reliability. Maintain meticulous documentation (e.g., vendor quotes, POs, reports) across all procurement activities to ensure full accountability and audit readiness.
Member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM). CIPS qualification (Le vel 4 and above) or any additional procurement and supply chain certification will be an added advantage. Strong numerical and analytical skills for negotiation, cost breakdown, and benchmarking. Solid understanding of procurement policies, ethics, and audit readiness. Awareness of supplier ESG standards and the Company’s sustainability agenda.
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing. Solid understanding of category management, contract administration, and supplier performance management. Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and MS Excel (pivot tables, spend dashboards).
