Job Purpose:

To manage the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services required by the hospital, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for medical and non-medical goods and services.
  • Prepare and issue tenders, requests for quotations (RFQs), and purchase orders.
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms with suppliers to ensure value for money.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to various departments.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts and supplier databases.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with the hospital's procurement manual and public procurement regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supplies Chain Management, or Business Administration. Diploma in CIPS is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
