JOB DETAILS:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for construction and road works projects in line with project plans and budgets.
• Source and prequalify suppliers, contractors, and service providers specific to civil works, road construction materials (e.g., bitumen, aggregates), and heavy plant/machinery.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze bids, and negotiate with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with technical specifications.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to prevent project delays.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain relationships to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain an updated procurement database, including approved vendors, contracts, delivery schedules, and inventory records.
• Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and finance to align procurement with work schedules and cash flow plans.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in all procurement processes.
• Identify risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies.
• Participate in project planning meetings to advise on procurement lead times and availability of materials.
