Peoplelink Consultants Ltd is a consultancy services company incorporated under the laws of Kenya.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities within approved budgets, evaluate and negotiate with local/international suppliers, process purchase orders, and monitor vendor performance and lead times.
• Manage multi-modal freight (sea, air, road, courier), liaise with freight forwarders and clearing agents, track shipments, and resolve delivery delays or documentation issues
• Handle import/export processes under Kenyan laws, manage IDF applications, and secure permits and approvals across regulatory bodies (KRA, KEBS, ACA, NEMA).
• Collaborate with clearing agents to facilitate quick cargo clearance, review entry accuracy, monitor duties/port charges, and address customs queries or holds.
• Maintain shipment schedules, monitor stock replenishment, mitigate supply chain risks, and partner with internal delivery, project, and finance teams.
• Review freight/logistics invoices to optimize costs and maintain complete, audit-ready physical and digital procurement records.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, and import/export operation in Kenya.
• CIPS, CPSP-K, or equivalent professional supply chain certification is an added advantage.
• Practical expertise in IDF processing, KRA, KEBS, ACA, and NEMA regulatory workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, international trade documentation, and experience dealing with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
• Proven negotiation, problem-solving, organizational and coordination skills.
