JOB DETAILS:
We’re looking to add a Product Development Officer to our team, who will take charge of our prototyping process. You’ll be motivated by building high standards of prototypes and conducting tests to validate their durability. You will support in local sourcing of technical tools and take pride in guiding the team in charge of prototyping to achieve the departmental goals. Most importantly, you’ll be eager to take on more responsibility and grow your career as part of our team.

The role in Brief
• Receive technical drawings and direction on new prototypes and manage the floor staff to execute the prototyping accurately
• Coordinate and support the floor team to ensure prototypes are built quickly and to high standards of quality
• Support in local sourcing for technical tools and small machines that will be required in the prototyping process
• Troubleshoot production problems that arise in the prototyping process to ensure all deadlines are met
• Execute durability tests and other product tests on various prototypes
• Compile performance reports on the tests conducted on prototypes
• Build a highly effective team through leadership and coaching
• Enforce workplace safety standards and procedures

• You have excellent planning and organization skills
• You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• You are proficient in computer applications and programs including Microsoft Office
• You have good written and verbal communication skills
• You have at least two years of technical experience in a fast-paced working environment
• You possess a diploma or degree in a technical engineering field
• Experience working in a manufacturing set up will be an added advantage
