Responsibilities or duties

We are seeking to hire two Production Operators who will be responsible for supporting day-to-day field production operations through safe operation of surface production equipment and wellsite systems. The role involves executing routine production rounds, monitoring equipment performance, performing basic maintenance activities, and supporting production data collection under supervision. The ideal candidates must have upstream oil & gas field operations exposure with strong discipline in safe operations and production support activities.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Technical certificate or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Operations, Process Technology, or a related technical field.

Experience needed

2 – 5 years’ experience in upstream oil & gas production operations, plant operations, or similar industrial field environments.

Basic understanding of surface production equipment including wellheads, separators, chokes, pumps, and flow measurement systems. Familiarity with routine production operations such as sampling, shift logging, and equipment inspections. Awareness of HSSEQ systems including permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, and basic process safety principles. Basic computer literacy for data entry, reporting, and operational logs. Strong willingness to learn, follow procedures, and develop technical competence in field operations. Certifications such as First Aid, H2S, Confined Space, Permit-to-Work, or Working at Heights will be an added advantage. Exposure to SCADA systems, CMMS platforms, or basic instrumentation will be an added advantage. Strong teamwork, reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work in remote rotational environments.

  • Operate and monitor surface production equipment including wellheads, chokes, separators, pumps, flowlines, and metering systems in accordance with operating procedures.
  • Perform daily production rounds, recording pressures, temperatures, and flow rates, and completing accurate shift logs and handover documentation.
  • Conduct routine sampling of oil, gas, and water streams, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and transfer of samples to laboratory facilities.
  • Execute start-up, shutdown, pigging, and flowback operations under supervision, following isolation procedures and lockout/tagout requirements.
  • Carry out basic preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, filter changes, and visual inspections, and report equipment abnormalities to supervision.
  • Assist in well testing and production data collection activities in coordination with engineers and service providers.
  • Adhere strictly to permit-to-work systems, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols, actively participating in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Handle chemicals and consumables safely in accordance with HSSEQ and environmental requirements.
  • Support rig-up, rig-down, mobilization, demobilization, and contractor field activities as required.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure safe, clean, and organized work areas at all times.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned in support of safe and efficient production operations.
