JOB ADVERT – PRODUCTION TEAM LEADER
Galaxy Plastics, located in Ruiru, is seeking to recruit a PRODUCTION TEAM LEADER to join our production team. The candidate should be passionate about manufacturing operations.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in plastic manufacturing or a similar production environment
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required
- Strong knowledge of plastic processing machines (e.g., injection molding, extrusion)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Must be ready to start immediately
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of machine operators and production staff
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and minimal downtime
- Ensure machines are operated according to safety and operational guidelines
- Train, mentor, and evaluate machine operators
- Schedule shifts and allocate tasks to meet production targets
- Conduct routine inspections and ensure proper maintenance of equipment
- Identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Enforce company policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
