Responsibilities or duties

Program Planning and Implementation (Approx. 55–60%)

  • Support planning and delivery of Kenya program activities
  • Coordinate training programs across STEM, ICT, employability and entrepreneurship pathways
  • Support training delivery for youth with visual impairments and partner institutions
  • Support training module and implementation schedule development
  • Support program monitoring and progress tracking
  • Prepare program progress reports and donor inputs
  • Support development of activity budgets in coordination with Finance and Program Manager

Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement (Approx. 25–30%)

  • Identify and maintain training and employment partnerships
  • Support engagement with inclusive employers and private sector partners
  • Support employer inclusion activities and engagement events
  • Support coordination with training institutions, universities, and partner schools

Financial and Program Compliance Support (Approx. 5–10%)

  • Support activity budget tracking
  • Monitor activity expenditure in coordination with Finance
  • Support financial and donor reporting documentation

Communications, Documentation and Advocacy (Approx. 5–10%)

  • Support documentation of case studies and impact stories
  • Support donor reporting inputs
  • Support communications and advocacy activities related to disability inclusion
  • Represent KBTA in stakeholder meetings when required

Proposal and Resource Mobilization Support

  • Support proposal writing and fundraising inputs
  • Support donor research and opportunity identification
  • Support preparation of program concept notes and reports

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong program coordination and delivery skills
  • Strong stakeholder and partnership engagement skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong written reporting skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-program environments
  • Commitment to disability inclusion and youth empowerment

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in program implementation
  • Experience in disability inclusion, education, youth or development programs preferred
  • Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders including NGOs, private sector or government
  • Understanding of disability inclusion, education, or youth employment sectors is an advantage

  • Experience working in disability or inclusive education programming
  • Experience in donor-funded project implementation
  • Experience in proposal development or fundraising support
