THE OPPORTUNITY

You, will be responsible for the implementation of the project activities within the 4 pathways mentioned to ensure that the Future4Binti strategic goal is achieved in Dukana.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, implementing officers from the other Future4Binti project sites, government officers in the various line ministries concerned with children, private sector players, community-based organizations (CBOs) and targeted girls, boys and families to provide relevant training, coaching and mentoring in the areas of child rights, Gender Based Violence including Child Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting Sexual Reproductive Health Rights. In addition, the role is intended to manage partnerships at community and county level and sustain good working relationships for greater impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures effective Future4Binti Project delivery through gender‑transformative strategies, community engagement, costed work plan coordination, and collaborative reviews with partners.
  • Engage communities, collaborate with partners, empower youth, influence stakeholders, ensure smooth field work, and deliver reports.
  • Engage stakeholders, manage partners, strengthen local collaboration, represent F4Binti, and build partner capacity.
  • Ensure timely deliverables, track progress with M&E, document lessons learned, and hold reflection sessions to improve interventions.
  • Implement and Monitor project specific financial plans and expenditures by interventions and within the approved budget.
  • Manage the risk assessments for the project and put in place mechanisms to mitigate/manage the risks during the implementation phase.
  • Plan International has a robust global policy for Safeguarding and PII policy for Preventing Sexual Harassment Exploitation and Abuse; and Gender Equality and Inclusion principles and Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to your area of responsibility. You will therefore have a responsibility to adhere and enforce adherence of staff and associates within your sphere of responsibility.
  • You will be trusted to take on additional assignments within the scope of work as assigned by your supervisor on need basis.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social work, Community Development or another relevant field.
  • You should have at least 3 years’ experience in working with children and young people in protection, education and development.
  • Someone with strong knowledge of community development with a focus on SRHR, SGBV and adolescent health.
  • Someone knowledge in donor reporting mechanisms.
  • Should demonstrate evidence of having worked and collaborated with government line ministries, County governments, private sector, communities, young people and other stakeholders in supporting youths from marginalized backgrounds.
  • Someone knowledgeable and experienced in execution of participatory trainings.
  • You shoud have understanding and experience in advocacy and influencing.
