Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projects from commencement to completion.
  • Manage daily construction activities and ensure work progresses according to the project programme.
  • Supervise site workers, artisans, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers, consultants, engineers, and clients as required.
  • Interpret and work with construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure works meet the required standards.
  • Plan and coordinate the use and delivery of materials, equipment, labour, and other resources.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure resources are used efficiently.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and monitor progress against project schedules.
  • Identify and resolve site issues, delays, defects, and other challenges.
  • Prepare daily and periodic project/site progress reports.
  • Maintain proper records of labour, materials, equipment, work progress, and site activities.
  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed on site and that appropriate PPE is used.
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractors to ensure timely and quality completion of their works.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor material requirements and ensure timely procurement and delivery to site.
  • Inspect completed works and ensure defects and corrective works are addressed promptly.
  • Monitor project timelines and take appropriate action to minimize delays.
  • Participate in site meetings and provide updates on project progress.
  • Assist with measurement, valuation, variations, and verification of completed works where required.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping, security, and organization of the construction site.
  • Coordinate project completion, snagging, and final handover.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate Diploma
