Background

Undugu Empowerment Programs (UEP) is dedicated to promoting women well-being while fostering economic opportunities for young people in low-income communities. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Project Officer to join our team and contribute to our impactful initiatives.

Responsibilities

The Project Officer will be responsible for coordinating various projects, including Sista Plus, UHEF, and Hope for Teen Mothers & Youth Livelihood projects. This role involves tracking progress, collecting data, and preparing comprehensive monthly/quarterly reports. Building strong relationships with schools, youth groups, and women's groups is crucial. Additionally, the Project Officer will organize trainings, mentorship, and awareness campaigns, and provide essential administrative, logistics, and donor reporting support.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Work, Project Management, Public Health, Education, or a related field. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in implementing community-based projects is required. Experience working with youth, adolescent girls, or women empowerment programs is highly desirable. Strong communication and facilitation skills are essential, along with demonstrated skills in monitoring, reporting, documentation, and project presentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also a requirement.
