ROLE OVERVIEW

Afro Sayari is seeking a practical, reliable, and hands-on Property Maintenance Electrician to manage our facility's day-to-day electrical needs. This role is ideal for a seasoned technician who excels at real-world troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and emergency power management. We value proven field experience and a "can-do" attitude over extensive academic paperwork. You will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted power across the resort, managing our backup generator, and keeping hospitality operations running smoothly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Generator & Power Backup Operations:

Oversee and conduct routine maintenance on backup diesel generators; monitor Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and main distribution boards to ensure seamless power transitions during grid outages; track generator fuel levels, battery health, and perform routine load checks.

General Facility Maintenance:

Conduct regular walk-throughs and preventative maintenance on lighting systems, water pumps, and swimming pool systems; provide quick-fix repairs for commercial kitchen and laundry appliances (ovens, cold rooms, fryers, washers) to minimize operational downtime.

Event & Grounds Support:

Safely set up temporary single-phase and three-phase power connections for outdoor events, grounds entertainment, sound systems, and themed lighting; remain highly responsive to electrical emergencies during live events and peak hours.

Safety & Stock Control:

Maintain high standards of workplace safety during all repair works; keep track of essential electrical spares (fuses, bulbs, breakers) and report when restocks are needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & SPECIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who knows the job inside out. While certifications are helpful, your practical experience and ability to solve problems on the ground are what matter most.

Field Experience:

Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience as a commercial or facility electrician, with strong preference given to those who have worked in a busy resort, hotel, hospital, or high-traffic entertainment venue.

Technical Know-How:

Strong, practical mastery of troubleshooting diesel generators, managing ATS panels, handling three-phase power systems, and repairing commercial kitchen or water pump controls.

Education & Certification:

Possession of a Craft Certificate, Trade Test Certificate (NITA), or Government Grade III/II in Electrical Engineering or Installation.

Licensing:

An active and valid EPRA License (Minimum Class C2 or above).

Availability & Reliability:

Readiness to respond swiftly to urgent facility breakdowns and willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support peak hospitality hours.
