Psychological Counsellor I

Responsibilities

  • Undertake initial client assessment
  • Administer counselling contract
  • Conduct individual counselling sessions
  • Develop psychological explanation of the client issues
  • Refer clients to specialists
  • Document, record and keep appropriate psychological counselling; and information and records.

Qualifications / Work Experience

  • Professional Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing
  • Cumulative service period of three (3) years’ work experience at the grade of Psychological Counsellor II or in a comparable position
  • Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Counselling, Psychology or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution; OR Bachelors Degree in any following disciplines: Clinical Psychology, Occupational Psychology, Education Psychology (Guidance and Counseling), Social Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Anthropology plus a Diploma in Counseling Psychology or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized Institution
