Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Psychologist to join our dedicated team. The Psychologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients across various age groups and presenting concerns. This role requires a strong understanding of psychological principles and therapeutic interventions, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including interviews, behavioral observations, and standardized testing.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based approaches.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Participate in case conferences and professional development activities.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards of practice.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid professional license to practice psychology in Kenya.
  • Proven experience in psychological assessment and therapy.
  • Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy).
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience is required. Experience working in a hospital setting is an added advantage.
