The Public Relations & Communications Analyst will support the execution of SIB’s internal and external communications initiatives. This role is ideal for a proactive communicator with strong writing skills, an understanding of media relations, and an interest in the financial/investments industry and corporate communications.

Key Responsibilities

Public Relations & Media Support

  • Manage relationships with media outlets/personalities, maintain media list; co-ordinate media inquiries and secure positive media coverage
  • Draft press releases, media statements, speeches, and talking points
  • Support media monitoring, coverage tracking, and preparation of media reports
  • Support the organization of press briefings, interviews, and corporate announcements
  • Assist in preparing staff and designated spokespeople for media appearances, including developing briefing notes, key messages, Q&A documents, and media packs

Corporate Communications

  • Assist in developing and editing content for internal communications, newsletters, website updates, and corporate publications
  • Assist in developing and implementing integrated communication campaigns for key corporate milestones, product launches, events, and thought leadership initiatives
  • Ensure brand tone, messaging, and visual identity are consistently applied across all communication materials
  • Support the management of crisis communication plans, ensuring consistency in messaging during sensitive situations

Event Support

  • Assist in coordinating corporate events, investor engagements, and stakeholder forums
  • Support communications logistics for internal & external events; co-ordinate coverage where applicable, including photography/videography, livestreams, media outreach, and post-event coverage
  • Liaise with external vendors, agencies, and partners as required

Administrative & Team Support

  • Maintain communications calendars, content archives, and approvals documentation
  • Provide general administrative support to the Marketing & Communications team

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in public relations, corporate communications, media, or marketing
  • Interest/experience in finance, investment banking, or capital markets is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Proficiency in media listening tools and familiarity with content management tools is an advantage
  • Proven ability to work with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve common goals
