Responsibilities or duties

A day in the life of a Quality Assurance Analyst:

Laboratory analysis and Testing

  • Analysis of ingredients finished products and monitor manufacturing processes.
  • Managing non-conforming and blocked products.
  • Oversee rework processes.
  • Verifying of equipment hygiene and calibration

Quality Assurance

  • Developing of quality procedures and instructions, inspecting dry goods and packaging materials, perform hygiene inspections & audits and prevention of cross-contamination.

Laboratory Management

  • You will maintain & calibrate lab equipment, validate processing lines as well as ensure lab hygiene, safety and proper waste management.

Compliance Management

  • Conducting process audits and ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, ISO, FSSC, and food safety regulations.

Customer Feedback

  • Track customer feedback, participate in Root Cause Analysis and Support process improvement initiatives.

TPM and Continuous Improvement

  • Support TPM projects and daily improvement activities.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • BSc in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related.
  • Qualified/Lead Auditor: QMS, FSSC v6, ISO 17025.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong food safety understanding.
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverage standards.
  • Laboratory management, documentation, and reporting.

Experience needed

  • Minimum 4 years’ lab experience in manufacturing or Quality Control.
  • FMCG experience is an added advantage.
