Responsibilities or duties
A day in the life of a Quality Assurance Analyst:
Laboratory analysis and Testing
- Analysis of ingredients finished products and monitor manufacturing processes.
- Managing non-conforming and blocked products.
- Oversee rework processes.
- Verifying of equipment hygiene and calibration
Quality Assurance
- Developing of quality procedures and instructions, inspecting dry goods and packaging materials, perform hygiene inspections & audits and prevention of cross-contamination.
Laboratory Management
- You will maintain & calibrate lab equipment, validate processing lines as well as ensure lab hygiene, safety and proper waste management.
Compliance Management
- Conducting process audits and ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, ISO, FSSC, and food safety regulations.
Customer Feedback
- Track customer feedback, participate in Root Cause Analysis and Support process improvement initiatives.
TPM and Continuous Improvement
- Support TPM projects and daily improvement activities.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- BSc in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related.
- Qualified/Lead Auditor: QMS, FSSC v6, ISO 17025.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Strong food safety understanding.
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverage standards.
- Laboratory management, documentation, and reporting.
Experience needed
- Minimum 4 years’ lab experience in manufacturing or Quality Control.
- FMCG experience is an added advantage.
