JOB DETAILS:

General Purpose

Our client is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Assistant to ensure that all food products meet established quality and safety standards by implementing quality assurance systems and monitoring all stages of production.

Location:

Enterprise Road - Nairobi] Salary: Ksh. 35,000 (gross)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensuring the aging conditions are met and maintained
• Colour preparation and handling are done as per the requirements
• Ensuring that all products meet set standards for quality, safety, and coding
• Ensure that finished products’ storage conditions and all the stipulated requirements are met.
• Ensure the hygiene of both equipment and personnel, and that the work area is clean.
• Ensure the dispatch standards are met.
• Ensuring and verifying that all operations quality records are maintained in real time, filled, and archived for the duration stipulated.
• Monthly verification of all CCPs and OPRPs.
• Sensory evaluation, coordination, and maintaining records
• Control of non-conforming products, generating records, and corrective actions
• Handling of market returns
• Conduct hygiene checks and monthly GMP audits
• Coordination of both the internal and external calibration processes of monitoring equipment.
• Ensure final product inspection(physical, chemical, microbiological)
• Full participation in food safety and QAS team activities.
• Ensure all trainings are done as per the schedule.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Possesses a bachelor’s degree or diploma in food or dairy science.
• Minimum of 3 years working in quality in the food industry, with at least 1 year at a supervisory level.
• Have a working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and other food management systems.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on daily tasks, keen and articulate on details.
